Welcome to Mudcat, agurgan. The lyrics are in the database. I found them by putting [Cindy's cryin] into the blue search box upper right.
Or you can just click on this blue clicky thing
Blessings,
Barbara

I found it at the numachi DT mirror, here, which means it's in the DT somewhere, but SS and Forum search didn't find it for me.

It's in the DT under "Cindy's Crying" but the problem may have been in "Bleecker" perchance?

The main problem is that 'wonderful Max' (who can do no wrong) has made a total pig's ear of the database.

Hence searches don't work accurately

My Supersearch worked perfectly well as soon as I tried the proper spelling of Bleecker. Hooker on Bleecker Street pulls it up right away....and several threads. Spelling has always been a problem for any search engine including Dick's AskSam.

Sure, but Max's (lack of)database skills have been a greater problem here
OK, Guest, you've made your point - over and over and over again. Of course, those of us who actually have database skills, have very little trouble finding songs in the Digital Tradition.
In the last couple of weeks, we have had far too many flame messages from unnamed guests. If you wish to remain anonymous and have actual information to share with us, that's one thing. However, these anonymous potshots are at the point of becoming distressing. If you to keep it up, you may find we'll have to restict your activities here. It may be that we will allow critical comments only from those who have the courage identify themselves and stand behind what they have to say.
You have become tiresome.

Back on the song...

The DT version is incorrect. In the DT, it says "stop trying", but TP sings "start trying" (I have the TP songbook next to me to check my memory was correct on this ;-). That's a pretty major change - the proper version says "if we try then we'll be OK", whereas the bollixed DT version says "we could be OK, but there's no point trying". Not a criticism of Max or whoever entered it, just something that needs changing.

(Also the end of the first chorus goes "they call it livin' and it feels like dyin'").

Graham.
