Subject: Request a list of all the music on this site From: Gavin Date: 17 Mar 98 - 11:24 AM I have a request for a list of all the music on this site. That would be very helpful, because I don't know the name of the song I'm looking for. Thanks! |

Subject: RE: Request a list of all the music on this site From: Jon W. Date: 17 Mar 98 - 11:42 AM There are close to 7000 song lyrics, about half with MIDI files, in the Digital Tradition database. You can search by any words or phrases you know are in the song, or use a list of titles. Use the search box in the upper right hand corner of the screen. Did you come in through the home page? If not, click here to get there for more information. |

Subject: RE: Request a list of all the music on this site From: Joe Offer Date: 17 Mar 98 - 12:45 PM Welcome to the Mudcat Cafe, Gavin! As Jon says, the title list you're looking for is available on the Mudcat home page. Better yet, you can search the database and find songs with any distinctive word or phrase you might remember. Search boxes are available on many of the pages on this site - it's on the upper-right corner of this page. Searching is easy. If you enter green alligators, you will get all the songs that include both the words "green" and alligators," at any place in the songs. If you enter [green alligators] (in square brackets), you will get the one and only song in the database that has that exact phrase. For pop, country, and other songs not usually considered to be "folk," you might have better luck finding the song you want in one of the many lyrics sites listed on our links page, which can be reached from the menu on the top of our forum home page. Hope that helps. -Joe Offer- |
