Subject: RE: BS: Happy Chinese New Year of the Horse From: GUEST Date: 12 Feb 02 - 09:23 AM From www.chinapage.com: When is the Chinese New Year's Day in Year 2002? February 12, 2002. It is the first day in the Year of the Horse. It is Year 4699 by Chinese calendar. For those interested in astrology, it is the year of the Black Horse. And speaking of astrology, I heard a strange story on CNN last night about zodiac signs and accidents. It seems the zodiac sign most prone to accidents is Gemini, followed by Taurus and Pisces respectively. Apparently, the least-accident prone are Capricorns (drive like yer granny perhaps?)

Subject: RE: BS: Happy Chinese New Year of the Horse From: Les from Hull Date: 12 Feb 02 - 09:33 AM It was my Dad's birthday on Sunday, so we celebrated with a banquet at one of Hull's best chinese restaurants, also the UK's biggest, on the former St Andrews Dock (once full of trawlers!). It was great to see members of our Chinese community enjoying their celebrations. So with each New Year lets hope for peace and prosperity for all. |
