I've been going to write this for some time now and things are slow this a.m. before school starts. As you know we bought 4 keyboards with the Pepsi Notes some of you sent. They are wonderful instruments and we have just finished a great unit using all the keyboards I could round up, 8 stick dulcimers, thanks Catspaw, and 8 autoharps. The prized instruments were, of course, the new keyboards. These will continue to be a big part of our music program here at East. Once again, thanks to all who helped. Hi Bet......I am glad your program is doing well! All I added was a bit of instruction on something pretty cheap and fun....YOU did the rest. Your Pepsi Notes campaign paid real dividends for you and I am again glad to see big companies invest in the arts and kids.......and even happier when things are put to good use.

Is there an earlier thread that explains what this is all about? If so, could someone please provide a link? Thanks. I'm curious to know if this "Pepsi Notes" thing is an ongoing campaign by Pepsico, or a one-shot deal. Thanks.

Thanks, Steve! I see from the Pepsinotes website that their promotion ended May 1, 2001. Sorry I missed the fun (I didn't start reading the Forum till June). Glad to hear that Mudcat members helped out so much, Bet, and that your program is going well.

Bet, I've thought about your kids often. (I still have the cute thank-you note from the gang!) What each of us as indidviduals did was miniscule compared to what a fine teacher can accomplish. Your kids are lucky!
