Haven't seen any posts on this yet, but if you don't already know - Bravo is running an excellent new series called Musician on Monday nights at 10PM. The best way to describe it is "Inside the Actors Studio" but for musicians. Each week they do an hour long interview with a musician, discussing the music business, history, inspiration for their songs and albums, etc. The artist also does a few "unplugged" numbers throughout the show.

The first two weeks featured Lou Reed and Sheryl Crow.

I know this is not technically "folk or blues" music, but should be of interest to people here. Again it's on the cable station "Bravo" at 10PM, Mondays (at least in the Easter United States).

I apologize for my gratuitous use of "quotation marks".

It sound like a good sries, is it UK or US ? I don't have SKY TV anymore, I cancelled it because I could not really afford it, but if the Musician series is on UK tv I will ask my mum to tape it.

I only know of it being on in the US...if there is some time of Bravo affiliate in the UK maybe they carry it - but I'm not familiar with the television stations there.

The next two weeks will feature Barry Manilow followed by Alanis Morrisette. Not the best choices in my book, but maybe they'll get some more interesting talent as the series rolls on.

Thanks for all the warm welcomes.

Glad I saw this before it dropped off. Thanks Tandrink, Barry and Alanis may not be musically up my alley, but the background stuff should be interesting.
