This may sound fairly simplistic among the intellectual gems that crowd this forum, but I've just realised how much fun I'm getting out of recordings made by Mudcatters.

In front of me at the moment are tapes by Steve/Norton1, Jerry Rasmussen, Larry InOBU, and McGrath - none of them cost megabucks to make, and yet I get a bigger blast from them than the ones I pay a fortune for in the shops.

There really is something wonderful about sharing this stuff. There I was, thinking I'm turning into an old cynic, and suddenly I start getting really excited about home-produced music... so, keep recording, folks, and who the hell cares if we don't sell a million?!

Thanks Ian: The praise of our peers is everything to us... of course if you could figure out how we could sell a million, or enough to pay the rent... well, that would be nice too, but serriously, I have really been very thankful for the kind words of my fellow Mcats. Cheers Larry
