Reading thru the Mary Ellen Carter threads again, and trying to get some idea of where or what 3 mile rock is/was I noticed the thought that Stan Rodgers first had the idea of setting the tale of the Mary Ellen Carter in Space.

Now there's a thought ! Indeed theres a challange !

Yes good peoples, how about the songsmiths amoungst us trying/suceeding to parody or rewrite the tale of the Mary Ellen Carter as Stan first imagined it - in space the final frontier.
