Also at the beginning of each month, (so the next one is March 4th or thereabouts) Harry Tuft (the godfather of folk music) hosts a Hootenany. Also check out Gospel Grass (www.gospelgrass.com). They list where groups are playing through March. Rex |

Subject: RE: BS: Things to do in Denver w/you're working From: Kaleea Date: 22 Feb 02 - 02:12 AM what to do? Hmmmm. . .how 'bout hanging your head out the window of the no-tel motel & counting the gold technibond bricks on the top of the capitol? Or what about visiting the Denver mint & while going by the safe hollar out "Look, over there, (be sure to point the other way from the safe!) it's John Denver's ghost!" while you quickly pick out a nice assortment of bills (at least 2 of each president) since they would never miss the bills, and they can always print more. And then you simply must make it out to the Red Rocks Amphitheatre & put on your own performance of "Return to Gilligan's Island." Be sure to pack your concertina to play the Sailors' Hornpipe! hey, we gotta get traditional music in this thread somehow. |
