I can't be any more help than to risk the old joke 'take it for repair to Curry's of Kildare'. Sorry.

Try Pete's of Parnell Street (even telephone them). If they don't do it, they'll know who and where.

With the price of parts & labour beeing what it is, unless it id a good record plsyer it might be cheaper to replace it, richer sounds (www.richersounds.co.uk) were recently avertising one for 30 ponds.Theyhave a branch in Dublin as well (on Wellington Quay).

Richer Sounds - that's a great idea; I buy minidiscs there all the time. (By the way, anyone know a good mp3 client for Mac that'll search me out some mp3s? And don't say I'm stealing music - I've bought more CDs since listening to mp3s.)

And the shop is called Peat's, I wasn't joking: www.peats.ie - good place for computer components and things.
