Somehow y'all have missed hearing this Texas white-boy bluesman, well OK he performs in other styles as well.

MY BABY DON’T WEAR NO PANTIES
By Mean Gene Kelton and the Die Hards on "Most Requested" (1999).

Well, my baby don’t wear no panties. Ask me how I know.
(How do you know? How do you know?)
I said, my baby don’t wear no panties. Ask me how I know.
(How do you know? How do you know?)
Says she likes that natural feelin'. She knows it turns me on.

Well, I took her for a ride in my drop-top Cadillac.
She put one foot in the front seat, one foot in the back.
The full moon was shinin' and she began to squeal:
"Keep your eyes on the road and your hands on the wheel."

CHORUS: 'Cause my baby don't wear no panties. Ask me how I know.
(How do you know? How do you know?)
Says she likes that natural feelin'. She knows it turns me on.

I came home late from work, tired and plumb give out.
Baby wanted to party; she was dancin' all about.
She stood up on the bed, started doin' the bump an' grind.
She raised up her dress; you know it works every time.

CHORUS: 'Cause my baby....

Well, I took her to a party; the band began to play.
The music and the whiskey seemed to carry her away.
She was dancin' on the tables and puttin' on a show.
The crowd was goin' crazy; now everybody knows—

CHORUS: My baby....

Took her ridin' on my Harley; she wore a leather miniskirt,
Dug her nails into my shoulders when we laid into the curves.
I went through all the gears, maxed out the RPM.
She was screamin' "Faster! Faster!" with both legs in the wind.

CHORUS: 'Cause my baby....

My baby wears garter belts; my baby wears spike high-heels.
My baby wears fishnet stockin's; she's always dressed to kill.
My baby likes to tease me when she's dancin' on the floor.
She sneaks me a peek, says: "Do you wanna see some more?"

CHORUS: 'Cause my baby....

thought I'd listen...but MP3.com demands you answer questions and allow them to set cookies before they let you hear anything, and I just don't care to, thank you.

Too many other ways to sample some songs.

Yikes! Sounds like the muzik geztapo Bill D. Well one way you might hear this: are you set up to listen to radio stations on the web? You can get streaming audio from KPFT at www.kpft.org; I don't know the details because I live here and tune them on the FM. Sundays they have blues from 6 AM - 6 PM and some of the shows you will see on their schedule have their own websites. In particular "Blues on the Move" 9 AM - noon (CST) frequently plays this song by request, but not every single week. I don't know if Mr.& Mrs. V who host that show take requests by email but seems like they would, or if you have free or cheap long distance service, give them a call. If you tell them you're listening on the web they will probably announce you during a break if you agree to it...In truth this is as much a novelty song as anything else but it is amusing IMO and has proven to be a crowd-pleaser. 8)# michael

Yas, Yas, Yas! Worthy of the hokum classics of the early thirties. I know it ain't politically correct right now to like songs about "Put my banana in your fruit basket", but what the heck. Good songs that sound like good clean fun are hard to find.
