Subject: Lyr Add: MY BABY DON'T WEAR NO PANTIES (G Kelton) From: technission Date: 24 Feb 02 - 11:39 PM Somehow y'all have missed hearing this Texas white-boy bluesman, well OK he performs in other styles as well. MY BABY DON’T WEAR NO PANTIES By Mean Gene Kelton and the Die Hards on "Most Requested" (1999).
Well, my baby don’t wear no panties. Ask me how I know.
Well, I took her for a ride in my drop-top Cadillac.
CHORUS: 'Cause my baby don't wear no panties. Ask me how I know.
I came home late from work, tired and plumb give out. CHORUS: 'Cause my baby....
Well, I took her to a party; the band began to play. CHORUS: My baby....
Took her ridin' on my Harley; she wore a leather miniskirt, CHORUS: 'Cause my baby....
My baby wears garter belts; my baby wears spike high-heels. CHORUS: 'Cause my baby.... |

Subject: RE: Lyr Add: [PG] My Baby Don't Wear No Panties From: Mrrzy Date: 26 Feb 02 - 09:15 AM I'm reminded of something that goes She don't wear no (yes she does) Oh no she don't (yes she does), I'm satisfied with my gal, she ain't got no (yes she does) Oh no she don't (you just haven't seen'm!), I'm satisfied with my gal... |
Subject: RE: Lyr Add: [PG] My Baby Don't Wear No Panties From: Bill D Date: 26 Feb 02 - 10:54 PM thought I'd listen...but MP3.com demands you answer questions and allow them to set cookies before they let you hear anything, and I just don't care to, thank you. Too many other ways to sample some songs. |
Subject: RE: Lyr Add: [PG] My Baby Don't Wear No Panties From: technission Date: 26 Feb 02 - 11:47 PM Yikes! Sounds like the muzik geztapo Bill D. Well one way you might hear this: are you set up to listen to radio stations on the web? You can get streaming audio from KPFT at www.kpft.org; I don't know the details because I live here and tune them on the FM. Sundays they have blues from 6 AM - 6 PM and some of the shows you will see on their schedule have their own websites. In particular "Blues on the Move" 9 AM - noon (CST) frequently plays this song by request, but not every single week. I don't know if Mr.& Mrs. V who host that show take requests by email but seems like they would, or if you have free or cheap long distance service, give them a call. If you tell them you're listening on the web they will probably announce you during a break if you agree to it...In truth this is as much a novelty song as anything else but it is amusing IMO and has proven to be a crowd-pleaser. 8)# michael |

I know it ain't politically correct right now to like songs about "Put my banana in your fruit basket", but what the heck. Good songs that sound like good clean fun are hard to find. |
