There's tab and lyrics for a lot of Christy Moore songs to be found at http://www.christymoore.net. St. Brendan's Voyage is in there. Dunno about the tune though - I haven't heard it in a while and can't remember it!

Can't help with the chords but I have been known to sing the song.

Christy recorded it after spending a day singing and playing with the locals at Tig a Cuinne (the Corner House) in Bradon village, Dingle Peninsula, Co. Kerry. I'm often involved in the Saturday night sessions in that very bar - they can be mighty.

The photos of that day with Christy are fairly poor and virtually anyone could claim to be in them! Two good mates of mine, Eamonn Murphy (Box Player) and Frank Maunsell (Bodhran and vocals) were by all accounts at the session.

I think its in C. For verse Play C,F,C,G x 4 for main part of verse.
Then at 'did you know that..' Play F,C,G7,C,C7 then at 'when he was reaching...' Play F,C,C,G,C
The chorus is the same as 2nd part of verse.

so it is not the same song as St. Brendan's Fair Isle by Jimmy Driftwood? they both would be good for Saint Paddy's month...
