That depends what version of CD you got. According to Amazon, To The Moon came out 2rd October 23rd 1995.

The liner notes say it was recorded in `95. Green Linnet released it in the US in `97.

My favorite Caper album is the one that followed it, Beautiful Wasteland.

The album came out in 1995, not 1996.

Subject: Lyr Add: THE PRICE OF FIRE (John Saich)

THE PRICE OF FIRE (John Saich)

I would know your face
In this wild enchanted place
Come to me and be still
And we'll dream of the wild horses
Running free with the wild horses

From my dream I awake
Just one wish I have to make
If I hold you again
In these arms when the war is over
Will you stay when the war is over
For a lifetime and then
Until the world begins again

CH: Well now I know it's the price of fire
To love you like I do in these chains
With the pleasure and the pain
It's nothing more than the price of fire
To feel so good and so afraid
I touch the flame and I can't look away

My world is turning in your hand
The skies are burning, now the dream becomes the man

I can hear your voice
Now I'm sure I've made my choice
Take this heart where you will
And we'll be gone with the wild horses
Just you and me and the wild horses

From the 1996 Capercaillie CD "To the Moon"; written by then-bassist John Saich, a brilliant player who sadly is no longer in the band.

I'm a huge Capercaillie fan; I'm convinced they're the future of Celtic music; and Karen's voice is just magical. BTW, her second solo album is supposed to come ou this year.

Cheers,
Michael

Looking for words and info on this song recorded by Capercaillie. Karen Matheson sings lead. From what I can tell of the words it's newly composed. Thanks.
