Subject: RE: Help: Finding Jerry Spurlock From: GUEST,Norbert Schmuck in Germany Date: 25 Jun 23 - 07:41 AM I met Jerry Spurlock with his lap harp cither in 1984 at so called KING RICHARD'S FAIRE, somewhere near Chicago in Illinois. This guy impressed me. Maybe you will find more information there, because Jerry told me, he plans to keep in touch with and be back at this Faire. Many artists are there, and they certainly will be able to give you more Information. Sorry for my English, I am not practising any more. Greetings from Germany |
Subject: RE: Help: Finding Jerry Spurlock From: maeve Date: 21 Jan 14 - 05:32 AM Joe, it looks like Jerry Spurlock has been performing as half of the duo "Wolfling & Jerry Spurlock". Wolfling appears to have a contact form here: http://www.wolfling.nl/2009/05/construction.html / . There is also mention of a MySpace page for Wolfling. |
Subject: RE: Help: Finding Jerry Spurlock From: Joe Offer Date: 21 Jan 14 - 03:03 AM Here's Jerry's MySpace Page: https://myspace.com/jerryspurlockmusic It has some sample recordings, but I don't think it offers a way to get in touch with Jerry. -Joe- |

Subject: BS: Looking for Jerry Spurlock From: DOpfer Date: 19 Dec 04 - 01:01 PM Saw a thread from '02 where Larkin was looking for Jerry. Didn't see any results though, so I'll try running this thread again. I was able to find this page http://www.centrum-zenit.org/Lezingen/citer.htm which I'm pretty sure was for a performance this last October. I knew Jerry as my Uncle when I was a young boy here in Ohio. My grandparents adopted and raised him (his last name was Opfer then, the same as mine, Spurlock was his birth surname)and I last saw him sometime early '70's when he was leaving for New York. My parents heard from him a couple of times since then, but nothing since mid '80's. Anyway, I just would like to get in touch with him if I can. Any info would be appreciated and can be sent through this forum or to me at dano@firefighting.net Thanks! Dan |
Subject: RE: Help: Finding Jerry Spurlock From: khandu Date: 01 Mar 02 - 10:25 PM Deja Vu! I could have sworn that I responded to this thread earlier in the week. Maybe I have gone daft! I searched for Jerry Spurlock on the net, found quite a few Spurlocks but no Jerry. Sorry khandu |
Subject: Finding Jerry Spurlock From: Larkin Date: 01 Mar 02 - 05:49 AM Does anybody know the whereabouts of a Singer songwriter called Jerry Spurlock. He was Amsterdam based in the early 80's and played what he called a Lap Harp ( a bit like a Zither ) . He made at least one album and it was produced by somebody called Leo- Further than that my memory fails me- After all it was the 80's and I was living in Amsterdam - Nuff |
