This years festival will not be going ahead due to lack of sponsorship. The organisers were looking to raise £30000 to stage this event, but funds have not been found. It's a pity they didn't look into the new contract of the Chief Executive of East Riding of Yorkshire Council who has been awarded a £32000 pay rise. Has the world gone mad?????????

Ah, had heard a few days ago that it wasnt happening this year, but didnt know why...

£32,000 pay rise? Jeez... the world HAS gone mad, without a doubt....

Just think how lovely it is for the people of The East Riding knowing their Chief Executive is worth £32,000 more than he was last year.

I have heard that schools are having their funding cut and some teachers are to loose their jobs. Now let me think about this. Keith

I hope so Dorrie -but instinct tells me that if you miss one year your customer base may go elsewhere!
