While listening to the radio this Afternoon,

[The Smith Lectures Sat 2 Mar 13:00-13:30 The Four Seasons: Arthur Smith presents an eight-part comedy series. In this fifth programme, he takes The Four Seasons as his theme. Featuring Burns And Allen, Lily Savage and many others. ]

I heard a parody of heart of oak, about stringing & then fighting with Conkers (horse chestnuts) I wondered if any one knew this song, & if so whould give us the lyrics?

I've tryed the DT (though I'm not a practiced searcher so may of missed somthing) & am curently trying a google search.

Thx in advance, Lizabee

Could this possibly be it? I found several with Google using conkers and then lyrics in Search Within Results box.

The radio was turned way down and the pub was busy whenI overheard it, and thought it sounded like the Kippers, but it wasn't even loud enough make out the words. I went over to the radio to find out what it was. I think the announcer said it was from "I'm Sorry I'll Read That Again", the cast of which went on to become Pythons, Goodies etc.

Not sure if this is any help.

WassaiL! V
