What's Blues Week? What goes on there? Are there other people teaching there? Where's Davis and Elkins?

Hey, Rolfy, what's up? How things out there on the left coast. Heard that one of Junior's buddies wants to put an oil well in your back yard. Nevermnid... Jus' funnin'.

Now Blues Week is a week long program held by the Augusta Heritage Center at Davis and Elkins College in the mountains of Wes Ginny. They've got about a dozen and a half blues instructors, including my man, Sparky Rucker, John Cephas and Phil Wiggins, Del Ray, Gayle Adegbalola and this year, the great Corey Harris. They will also have The Rain Dogs agoustic blues band from Kansas City, Mo. who will be teaching and jamin'.

Also happening the same week at Augusta is Swing Week with swing guitar abd dancing being taught, "Sugar Mikes' Southern BBQ class, Stonemasonry, Instrument repair class for all types of stringed instruments.

Classes are 3 hours in the morning with an hour informal concert at noon, more classes in the afternoon, jams and concerts every night in the big auditorium.

For more information: augusta@augustaheritage.com

Thanks fir asking, Rolfy...
