I heard this sung ages ago in my local folk club. Cant find it anywhere on the database so I thought i'd ask u lot! It has a different tune, I know that but im sorry, i dont know much else about it. Its actually my dad that wants it, but I wouldnt mind a copy of it myself. Thanx!

There are two sets in the DT, though with alternate spellings:

SWEET CARNLOCH BAY
CARNLOCH BAY (2)

Funny! I've just been playing a double album of Finbar and Eddy Furey from 1982 where they sing that one; they spell it Carron Lough Bay. Very similar indeed to The Road to Dundee. The double album is in fact two of their records packaged together.

I have that same double album (reissued on CD) by Finbar and Eddy. Good stuff! I especially like "Bold McShane"!

Carnlough is a little village in County Antrim (Northern Ireland) part way along the Antrim Coast road... pretty little place... does good "whippy" ice cream!!

don't know if a Carron Lough exists...
