Does anyone what the references to "Buckeye" and "White Sycamore" are in the song "Coal Tattoo"?

Howdy,

I've sung the song for many years thinking that Buckeye and White Sycamore were simply trees along the road as the miner drove by. The names of mines makes sense, but it won't change what I think of as I sing that powerful song.

Allinkausay, Bill
