Subject: RE: Lyr Req: Absent Friends From: Ritchie Date: 15 Mar 02 - 07:56 AM well without looking Kitty, I think you could be reet. I love that one "Is that a cake or a meringue ?" " Nah, ya reet it's a cake ..." It's like when you go to the bar for loads of drinks and the barmaid say's "would you like a tray ?" and you reply " Do you not think I've got enough to carry ?" Subject: RE: Lyr Req: Absent Friends From: Jim Dixon Date: 14 Mar 02 - 09:34 AM Sorcha: It looks like the thread you linked to has been deleted. It is labeled "duplicate thread." Vince: AMG lists at least 4 different songs called Absent Friends (click here), and AMG doesn't necessarily list everything that exists. One of those songs has been posted in an old thread: Lyr/Chords Req: Absent Friends. If this isn't the one you want, please give some more information. For example, tell us who recorded it, or quote a line or two from it. |
Subject: RE: Lyr Req: Absent Friends From: Sorcha Date: 12 Mar 02 - 09:26 AM Absent Friends is answered in this thread. |
Subject: RE: Lyr Req: Absent Friends From: IanC Date: 12 Mar 02 - 08:56 AM Probably, someone will come along and change the name of this thread to something like Tin Whistle Tutor, as the first question has already been answered in the other thread with this name. A good place to look for a Tin Whistle Tutor is in the Musical Instruments section of the Basic Folk Library. There are also some useful threads on Tin Whistle which can be found by putting WHISTLE in the forum search box (top left).
Cheers! |
