While we're on the subject of children's choruses (only a boy named David, etc.) does anybody know the rest of this one?

Wide, wide as the ocean, High as the heaven above, deep, deep as the deepest sea is my Saviour's love. I, though so unworthy, still am a child of His care for His word teaches me that his love reaches me everywhere.

there's a second stanza to this chorus. does anybody know it??

Iv'e looked this up in the young peoples praise books that I have but they all list just the bit you have. It's credited to C.Austin Miles. If you ever find the missing part please post it as the young folk at our chapel enjoy this one.

BAZ: What denomination is your chapel? I'm curious.

Ireland O'Reill
My wife and I have just finished a Worship Leaders course and are due to lead our first service this Sunday at our Methodist Chapel. The Methodist chapels are the most common here in Cornwall with every village having at least one.

Hi.

When I used to go to Junior C.E. (Christian Endeavour.) we had a second verse... maybe it's the one you heard.

Andrew brought his brother, Jesus the Saviour to see,

We must bring the boys and girls to Junior C.E.

Jesus died to save them, we want them all to know,

So come to Endeavour and serve Him forever, He loves you so.

Slainte

Alison

Alison: That's not the verse I heard, but it's a good one anyway. :)

BAZ: those who know me, know my curiousity is undying. If u find me nosy, I apologize. I'm a Baptist, by the way.

Love, love so amazing
Seen upon Calvary's Tree,
That Jesus the Lamb of God
Was slain there for me.
I was so unworthy.
For my poor soul
He did bleed.
I'm like Him, you're like Him,
All like Him,yes, indeed.

For hymn lovers, that looks like it would be a good site to bookmark. Note the info to the left on the screen. Way cool.

There's only one stanza there, so I assume any other stanzas were not written by Miles. Anyone have info to the contrary?

Me and the missus only know one verse from our youthful days. A lot of those old choruses are largely forgotten or unknown now, though we sometimes sing them to the littlies. Sue, i like most of your second verse, but can't work out the sense of the last two lines.
