There's a country song that I'm looking for, but can't seem to find. I don't know the title, however the story behind the song goes something like this: a woman driving gets a flat tire and is helped by a man who refuses payment for the services he renders. They go their separate ways and the lady stops in at a dinner for something to eat. The waitress that serves her is pregnant and obviously exhausted, so when the lady leaves she purposely walks out without her change...from a hundred dollar bill! The waitress has been struggling with finances and is almost overcome with emotion. When she gets home she climbs into bed next to her husband, the man that had fixed the womans tire. This is a country tune, do you know the name? Thanks

Dell, if you have some good C&W/bluegrass gospel lyrics or sound files, I need 'em.

Subject: Lyr Add: HERE COMES THAT RAINBOW AGAIN
From: GUEST,Gene

HERE COMES THAT RAINBOW AGAIN
Written and recorded by Kris Kristofferson

The scene was a small roadside cafe
The waitress was sweeping the floor
Two truck drivers drinking their coffee
And two Okie kids by the door.

"How much are them candies?" they asked her
"How much have you got?" she replied
"We've only a penny between us."
"Them's two for a penny" she lied.

Chorus:
And the daylight grew heavy with thunder
With the smell of the rains on the wind
Ain't it just like a human
Here comes that rainbow again.

One truck driver called to the waitress
After the kids went outside
"Them candies ain't two for a penny"
"So what's it to you?" she replied.

In silence they finished their coffee
And got up and nodded goodbye
She called,"Hey you left too much money"
"So what's it to you?" they replied.

And the daylight was heavy with thunder
With the smell of the rains on the wind
Ain't it just like a human
Here comes that rainbow again.

TAG:
Ain't it just like a human
Here comes that rainbow again

Subject: Lyr Add: CHAIN OF LOVE (Rory Lee)
From: Jim Dixon

These lyrics are mostly copied from the web site that Mmario posted the link for above, but I reformatted them and checked them against the recording which I found on Spotify, and made a few adjustments:

CHAIN OF LOVE
Words and music by Rory Lee
As sung by Clay Walker on "Live, Laugh, Love" (1999)

He was drivin' home one evenin' in his beat-up Pontiac
When an old lady flagged him down; her Mercedes had a flat.
He could see that she was frightened, standin' out there in the snow,
Till he said, "I'm here to help you, ma'am. By the way, my name's Joe."

She said, "I'm from St. Louis and I'm only passin' through.
I must've seen a hundred cars go by. This is awful nice of you."
When he changed the tire and closed her trunk and was about to drive away,
She said, "How much do I owe you?" Here's what he had to say:

"You don't owe me a thing; I've been there too,
And someone once helped me out just the way I'm helping you.
If you really want to pay me back, here's what you do:
Don't let the chain of love end with you."

Well, a few miles down the road the lady saw a small café.
She went in to grab a bite to eat and then be on her way,
But she couldn't help but notice how the waitress smiled so sweet,
And how she must've been eight months along and dead on her feet.

And though she didn't know her story, and prob'ly never will,
When the waitress went to get her change from a hundred-dollar bill,
The lady slipped right out the door and on a napkin left a note.
There were tears in the waitress' eyes when she read what she wrote:

"You don't owe me a thing; I've been there too.
Someone once helped me out just the way I'm helpin' you.
If you really want to pay me back, here's what you do:
Don't let the chain of love end with you."

That night when she got home from work, the waitress climbed into bed.
She was thinkin' about the money and what the lady's note had said.
As her husband lay there sleepin', she whispered soft and low:
"Everything's gonna be all right; I love you, Joe."
