Subject: LYR REQ: The Scotsman and The Dogs' Party From: Chet W. Date: 28 Mar 98 - 07:28 PM Looking for lyrics to these two humorous songs. I heard them both played by Bryan Bowers the autoharp master. The second one he called "The Dog's They Had a Party" and it was to the melody of the old hymn "The Church is One Foundation". Thanks in advance. Chet W. |

That is the same song that Bryan Bowers also recorded. There is an extended thread on this song in the archives. You can: A. Go back to May 22, 1997. B. Go to Forum Search, enter Mike Cross in "body" box, then click on Scotsman, then go to full thread C Go to Forum Search, enter "scotsman" in "body" box, go down to thread (It came up as #27 for me) rich r |

Subject: RE: LYR REQ: The Scotsman and The Dogs' Party From: Dawn Date: 01 Apr 98 - 12:47 AM A friend of mine does "The Dogs they had a Party", a little differently than the version in the database. He is also a friend of Bryan Bowers, so maybe learned it from him. I will see if he will give me the lyrics he uses. Dawn |

Subject: RE: LYR REQ: The Scotsman and The Dogs' Party From: Bo Date: 01 Apr 98 - 03:14 PM Am I not listenning right or is the midi file for the Dogs Meeting not complete? Seems like it's intended to be the first two verses (or verse and Chorus) but I cant see how the last three lines fit into the tune. bo |
