Subject: WFMU A sure cure for the blues From: marty D Date: 22 Mar 02 - 11:35 PM I learned about HOBER radio from the cat, but this show was by pure accident! It's called 'incorrect music' and maybe some catters are familiar with it already, but I've been laughing myself silly for two hours now. Here's the description: Incorrect Music with Irwin Chusid and Michelle Boulé Wednesdays 3pm - 4pm A misguided tour of musical outsiders, bumbling celebs, no-hopers, corporate anthems, pop-eyed zealotry, uber-patriots, insufferable kids, Third-Eye Lounge crooners, and a whole range of Frankentunes. WFMU 91.1 FM 90.1 FM www.wfmu.org There's a lot to discover but try to find Robert Alberg singing 'I'm going to be single all my life', Les Wilson doing 'Love me Tender', Swedish Elvis, and the amazing Tammy Fay Baker singing 'Oops there comes a smile'. These are on the archived shows. What makes this site really funny is that you can never be sure if what you're listening to is a put on or not. The ones I've mentioned are not. marty |
