Subject: Anyone Remember The Hustlers? From: GUEST,Roger Venable Date: 23 Mar 02 - 05:05 PM Back in the 60's there was a three guy, one girl folk group called The Hustlers. They did gigs in and around ski resorts. I thought Judy Henske sang with them, but she told me she didn't! I know they cut two albums because I had them at one time. If anyone knows of this group...ot where I can get the albums...I'd appreciate knowing. I thank you all for your time and efforts |

Subject: RE: Anyone Remember The Hustlers? From: GUEST,Cassie Date: 12 Sep 11 - 05:46 PM Yes, I do remember the Hustlers and wonder what happened to them. They did a lot of Kingston Trio songs. When I saw them there were playing at Tulagi's in Boulder, Colorado and also at a place called The Sennett Lounge in Denver. Great Group! Have no idea where one could get their music. |

Subject: RE: Anyone Remember The Hustlers? From: GUEST,margaret simmons Date: 08 Jun 12 - 11:21 PM The singer was named Jan Garrett --- she lives in Aspen (as do I) --- we heard them so many times at various venues in Aspen in the late 60s and 70s. The guy who played steel pedal guitar also lives in the Roaring Fork Valley. Wish I could find a recording of some of their music. |

Subject: RE: Anyone Remember The Hustlers? From: GUEST,correction Date: 08 Jun 12 - 11:27 PM The guy who played steel pedal guitar was later --- Jan sang with another group that included John Sommers (guitar and Banjo) and they played at the Blue Moose in Aspen. The Hustlers played at the Red Onion Nightclub --- I think that the whole group were students at CU at the time. I'll talk to Jan & find out. |
