I NEED SOME SERIOUS HELP ON THIS. I RECORDED THIS BLUES TUNE FROM A RADIO SHOW CALLED 'BLUE MONDAY' OFF OF BROWN UNIVERSITYS RADIO STATION BACK IN 1990. THE SONG REVOLVES AROUND A CHARACTER CALLED "MR TOROUBLE". I DO NOT KNOW THE ACTUAL TITLE OR THE ARTIST .. IT SOUNDS A BIT LIKE JOHNNY SHINES BUT WITH A HIGHER PITCHED VOICE .. HERE ARE THE OPENING LYRICS.."WHEN THE TOWN IS FAST ASLEEP, MR TROUBLE MAKES HIS ROUNDS..(REPEAT) AND WHEN HE KNOCKS ON SOMEONES DOOR YOU CAN HEAR AN AWFUL SOUND...A WOMAN CRIES OUT MY MAN IS GONE, 'LORD WHAT IM GONNA DO' " THE SONG CONTINUES ON. NOW TO HELP, THIS IS AN ACCOUSTIC(GUITAR) TUNE SOLO OF COURSE. I HAVE SENT MORE E MAILS AND DONE MORE SEARCHING TRYING TO FIND OUT WHO THIS IS AND THE ACTUAL TITLE....ALL IN VAIN. I APPRECIATE ANY HELP ..THANKS IN ADVANCE..

I don't know anything about them, but the Toasters came up on a www.google search and had a song listed as "Mr. Trouble" but didn't have the lyrics available. You might take a look at their site some more, as I didn't have time. To reach the page I found, please Click Here.

Also, not sure if you know it, but when using all caps on the 'net, it is usually considered the equivalent of shouting. It sounds as though you are really eager to find this song, but usually folks don't *shout* around here. Please know I mean no offense. I am sure you will find someone here who knows this song and will post it. It's a pretty good crew what frequents the Mudcat. Welcome aboard,

kat

Yer good Amos...and spot on! Never thought he sounded anything like Johnny Shines, but it's a great song.
