Subject: RE: Quigleys in Rugby...... From: GUEST,Michael from Northumberland Date: 15 Sep 10 - 02:54 PM I visit Rugby often and the best part of my stay is heading out to Quigleys on a saturday night. The Guinness is always as it should be - on top form. Other brands are also well looked after, entertainment has got to be the best for miles and it's free. |

Subject: RE: Quigleys in Rugby...... From: GUEST,Pat Cooksey. Date: 09 Jun 08 - 07:26 PM Hi Brian. I played last night in Hamburg with Eric Burdon and the Animals, pretty full and a great night, next week plays in the same venue Alvin Lee and some of Ten Years After, I am happy to play at venues that are not folk music and it seems to work out O.K. Give me a call from my website, I think a lot of people in your region know me, all the best. Pat Cooksey.. |
Subject: RE: Quigleys in Rugby...... From: GUEST,brian johnson Date: 09 Jun 08 - 05:33 PM Hi Pat, Your stuff is mainly for folk clubs. At quigleys you have to be lively and good. However Leslie Robson can do a number on her recorder and capture the attention of the crowd, why c'ant you? Thursdays is for one or two piece pop stuff FRIDAYS FOR ROCK AND SATURSAYS IS probably the best irish/folk session in the uk and Ireland. Try it again as the place has matured and now a recognised music venue------but you w'ont get attention like you do in a folk club so you have to choose your venue. |
