You wouldn't know the title of the Gaelic song?

there are tunes called "Mac a' Phi" (or Domhnull Mac a' Phi" and "Crodh Chailein" I don't think they are the same as MacLeod's reel. As George said, some more detail might help us find these lyrics. And it would be nice to have the English words as many of us do know the air.

Thanx. The English lyrics are:

Macaphee turn your cattle roun' the loch a foram
Macaphee turn your cattle roun' the loch a foram
Macaphee turn your cattle roun' the loch a foram
Here and there and everywhere the kye are in the corn

Waiting at the sheiling Mhairi Bhan Mo Chree
Waiting at the sheiling looking out to sea
Hame will come the bonnie boats Mhairi Bhan Mo Chree
Hame will come the bonny boys Mhairi Bhan Mo Chree.

I always say Varee van mo cree for that gaelicy bit!

HTML line breaks added. --JoeClone, 1-Apr-02.

The Gaelic for that section is actually, Mhàiri Bhàn Mo Chridhe. This literally is Fair Mary of My Heart.

There are a lot of songs about one Fair Mary or another. Will look to see what I can find.

Your phonetic is close enough.
