Subject: Help! My Mudcat has gone into a timewar From: Tig Date: 30 Mar 02 - 05:20 PM I just got back onto Mudcats after a few days away and find the last entry showing is 23rd March. Have I hit a timewarp? |

Subject: RE: Help! My Mudcat has gone into a timewar From: GUEST Date: 30 Mar 02 - 06:34 PM Assuming you are using IE (Internet Explorer) try clicking the 'refresh' button, or hitting F5. If that doesn't work, hit 'Ctrl F5' That, somehow gives a more 'fundamental' refresh - I don't know the technical details. It worked for me when I was having a similar problem. Good luck. |

Subject: RE: Help! My Mudcat has gone into a timewar From: JohnInKansas Date: 30 Mar 02 - 06:49 PM If you are using IE, you can open Tools - Internet Options. On the "General" tab, click on "Settings" under "Temporary Internet Files" and at "Check for newer versions of stored pages" select the "Every visit to page" option. This may reduce the tendency to pull and "old" version out of storage, although "your mileage may vary." John |

Subject: RE: Help! My Mudcat has gone into a timewar From: GUEST Date: 31 Mar 02 - 03:28 PM The biggest difficulty with this problem is that 'Tig' won't be able to read the answers. 'Ctrl F5' is however the correct solution, assuming that she's running Microsoft |
