The I. C. Davis in the copyright notice is Larry Davis, a great unsung bluesman. Similarly the J. W. Scott is the great sax player, songwriter, arranger, and bandleader Joe Scott (Bobby Blue Bland, Junior Parker, Gatemouth Brown, B.B. King).
