Did you know that Dudley has a festival? No probably not because as yet it includes no folk of any kind. I think it should! There is a lot of folk in this area. If the Borough has money for entertainment they should throw it our way!. I will meet the man from the council on Monday, if you have any ideas about what could be included (this year or next) please send me a message - or talk to the man yourself on frichings.pls@mbc.dudley.gov.uk. Dudley Festival 22nd June - 14th July 2002

Someone ought to sing "Push, Boys, Push". Seriously though, perhaps the Black Country Museum might be interested in being involved.

The Black Country Museum may not be all that helpful.
They were asked if they would allow a local morris side to dance on the site. Their terse reply was that there is no tradition of morris dancing in Dudley, so the answer was no.

Ngar Boys, Oh Boys, Oh the Brave Dudley Boys
not exactly morris but then they don't race horses on the site do they?
it is the site of the original course.
