Subject: Chicken Shack album search From: Menita Date: 11 Apr 02 - 07:58 PM Does anyone remember a band called Chicken Shack? Christine Perfect (Mrs. McVie from Fleetwood Mac) used to be in the band. The album I'd like to find out about, and hear again, is called '40 Blue Fingers Freshly Packed and Ready to Serve'. Bring back any memories? Recorded about mid-60's I think. |

Subject: RE: Chicken Shack album search From: Ian Darby Date: 11 Apr 02 - 08:59 PM 'I Would Rather Go Blind' by the above is the best. I got the second album and I can't remember what it was called, but I know it had 'Tears in the Wind' on it. By the way, Stan Webb is stil doing the rounds. A great guitar player/Gibson 335 strangler with a 30ft guitar lead. (Bragging again.) |

Subject: RE: Chicken Shack album search From: Trevor Date: 12 Apr 02 - 04:53 AM Hello LA. I've got the album somewhere, I think (unless a previous significant-at-the-time has nicked it). If I find it how do I get a copy to you? |

Subject: RE: Chicken Shack album search From: C-flat Date: 12 Apr 02 - 09:02 PM About 5 years ago the band I was in played support for Chicken Shack in a small club in Stockton on Tees,U.K. He's still a great player but suffers from an enlarged ego. Unlike most musicians I've met he was quite disrespectful to everyone there at the sound check, not just the lowly support but also to his own band and the sound engineers. I was looking forward to meeting him and to doing the gig but it ended up as just another job of work. |
