This song was also done quite well by Joan Baez on her "One Day At A Time" lp circa '69 or '70

Steve Young is a Southern boy; doubtful that it's the same Seven Bridges Road, Annamill, but you never know.

The first version I heard of this was by Ian Matthews (Matthews Southern Comfort); the Eagles borrowed that arrangement note for note. And, of course, the inimitable Mr. Young has done it impeccably at least twice on different recordings. A very mystical song in any of it's metamorphoses.

Hey! My old house was right off of Seven Bridges Road! Do you suppose it is the same Seven Bridges Road?? I live near Rumson, NJ where Bruce Springsteen and Bon Jovi live. I wonder if S.Young is from there too or maybe just visited.

Love, Annamill

Alan Jackson tried to do this song, and that's all he did was try. I did not like his version at all.

Dolly Parton does an awesome cover of this on her "Little Sparrow" CD.

Subject: Lyr Add: SEVEN BRIDGES ROAD (S. Young/Eagles)

From Lyrics World:

Seven Bridges Road
Eagles
(S. Young)

There are stars in the southern sky
Southward as you go.
There is moonlight and moss in the trees
Down the Seven Bridges Road.

Now I have loved you like a baby...
Like some lonesome child,
And I have loved you in a tame way,
And I have loved you wild.

Sometimes there's a part of me
Has to turn from here and go...
Running like a child from these warm stars
Down the Seven Bridges Road.

There are stars in the southern sky.
And if ever you decide you should go,
There is a taste of time sweet and honey
Down the Seven Bridges Road.

Not sure who this is by. I know the Eagles do it.
