Don't know the composer/author. the chorus is as fdar as I can tell -

I am the Keeper of the light,
(my) Father died a year ago
He stood the watch for twenty years
then passed the line for me to toe [hold?]

The song was written by David Littlefield, one of the Mystic Seaport Chanteymen. He is also a member of Forebitter, the group based at the Seaport.
