Nicholas Parsons (Not the famous one) has been known to say he would tracel 50 miles for a free pint! But he lives in Plymouth now.

Well, one catter did cycle 16 mile each way yesterday in response to my call!

Thanks to everyone who turned up. I learned from Bill Sables (one of those who did) that he and I were born on the same day of the same month in the same year(26th November 1946) - clearly we are twins separated at birth.

I would have gone, but some low life shit decided to steal my car on Saturday night :-(
I am not too bothered about the car as it only cost 20 quid, but it had 50 pounds worth of petrol in it!

Ran into John from Barton ont Tumber. saturday in nellies (the one with the ze-ze top chin hair, and the late night blues show on Rdo Humberside) asked him to pass on our thanks to Henry H. and the staff at the station for the good publisity they are putting out.
