I used to be Iarf ...then I learned and became Spot the Dog. My computer at home has had a rebuild and will not (for some reason I can't fathom) take Spot the Dog as my cookie. My works PC however is still OK with Spot.

I don't want to post as Guest(Spot the Dog) because it is possible for "notrights" to imitate.

I certainly don't want to create a new sudonym or nom-de-plume so in future when at home I will be Iarf and when at work Spot the Dog.

Anything that Iarf says should be taken as Spot the Dog and vice-versa. If anyone understands this could they PM me with an explanation.

....and finally could I thank the people who gave me songs for doing for audiences who don't listen or who only want "songs we know". We did the gig from hell and with the help of Wild Rover and Fields of Athenry we won (well...it was a draw) the day. Iarf (Spot)

Iarf the spotty dog? I think you should e mail/PM Pene Azul/Jeff or Joe Offer and try to get this fixed. I assume Spot the Dog is already fixed........

It sounds like you have an "Iarf" cookie that's holding you hostage.

If you go to Quick Links, and Log Out, and then while not hooked up to mudcat, delete any cookies that have mudcat in their name, you should be able to log back on (reset cookie) with whathever name you've got registered - assuming you remember how to spell it and what password/email addy you used when you set it up.

(Cookies are usually in C:\Windows\Cookies, you may have to set WinExplorer {View - Folder Options} to "show all" to see them)

If all else fails, a PM to Pene or Joe should get whatever help you need.

The logout and purge (see the FAQ) would probably work. Alternatively, you could always go into your membership information and change "Iarf" to "SpotTheDog," "Spot the Other Dog," "Dog the Spot" or just plain "Spot." "Iarf" is OK too.
