Subject: RE: BS: Water Joe From: Celtic Soul Date: 28 Apr 02 - 04:25 PM I've had it. It tastes slightly off. Not exactly like water, if you know what I mean. However, if you don't want all the sugar of a cola or a 'Dew, I suppose it might be a nice alternative. |

Subject: RE: BS: Water Joe From: GUEST Date: 29 Apr 02 - 06:59 AM Thanks Guest, Does this mean that the US is going metric by stealth? |

Subject: RE: BS: Water Joe From: GUEST,John Gray @ work Date: 29 Apr 02 - 11:37 PM Metric by stealth - give me a break. You guys are 150 years behind your own history. As I posted here, about a year ago, the USA should have been totally metric since 1866. In that year the US, by act of Congress, passed a law making legal the metre, the only measure of length that has been legalised by the US Gov't. The United States prototype metres numbers 21 & 27 were received from the International Bureau of Weights & Measures in 1889. Metre No.27, sealed in it's metal case, is preserved in a fireproof vault, at the Bureau of Standards. So, next time you go to court for speeding, and the prosecutor reads out your speed in MPH, you can have it chucked out on a technicality - it should be in kilometres per hour. And it's much more impressive having a 15 centimetre penis than a 6" one. JG/FME |

Subject: RE: BS: Water Joe From: Celtic Soul Date: 30 Apr 02 - 09:44 PM :::giggle::: Only 150 years??? We're doing better than I thought. Just curious here...the world is on metric (and the US aint), but how many countries monetary systems are based on increments of 10? Personally, I have far less occasion to figure out how many inches there are in a yard, and how many yards there are in a mile than I do how many dimes it takes to make a dollar, and it only gets easier from there...After all, how many dollars *does* it take to make a thousand dollars? Of course, I'm a banker, not a long haul trucker. :D |
Subject: RE: BS: Water Joe From: GUEST,John Gray @ work. Date: 30 Apr 02 - 11:33 PM Celtic Soul Legally, the US is on the metric system, illegally, its still on the imperial system ( feet, gallons, lbs etc ) How many countries not on the decimal system ? Don't know, except maybe those still using sticks or shells. JG / FME. |
