Subject: RE: Acoustic May in Central VA From: Allan C. Date: 02 May 02 - 04:50 PM Yeah, I love the part in which it says: "Chistine Lavin - with a style of folk music that is uniquely her's." David C. and I are hoping to catch Mr. Wainwright's show. At least they didn't make any remarks about hi's style. *G* Mrrzy, to the best of my knowledge you and I are the only active 'Catters within driving distance for these things. I get mailings from Court Square Theater. So, thanks, but I have my doubts as to whether anyone else is paying much attention. |

Subject: RE: Acoustic May in Central VA From: Mrrzy Date: 03 May 02 - 08:59 AM AAK! I am guilty of the crime I consider almost most heinous - that should read ITS folk marathon! Sorry! Clean that up, somebody, and then erase this post so ...nobody... will.... ever..... know....... |
Subject: RE: Acoustic May in Central VA From: UB Ed Date: 03 May 02 - 10:46 AM Sorry, Mrrzy; H'burg gets a little far afield for me (Although we did play in New Market last weekend). It does look like a good series. Ed |
Subject: RE: Acoustic May in Central VA From: Fortunato Date: 03 May 02 - 11:20 AM Mrrzy, I'm listening but we won't make it. Are you going to Mt. Airy in June? Chance |
Subject: RE: Acoustic May in Central VA From: Celtic Soul Date: 04 May 02 - 09:18 AM Is Harrisonburg out Winchester way? I'm trying to place the place. I am woefully behind in the geography of my adopted state. |
Subject: RE: Acoustic May in Central VA From: Allan C. Date: 04 May 02 - 10:21 AM Hi, CS! You can get an idea of Harrisonburg's location by looking here. The Court Square Theater is a nice venue for performers and equally pleasant for the audience. The latter is especially so because there is a nice restaurant and a good coffee shop (not great, mind you,) adjacent to the theater. |
