its the music they played for the tango in "true lies" and "Scent of a woman"... has anyone got a simple melody line, with or without guitar chords....... I have downloaded MIDI files but they are too complex to start to extract the tune... and I don't have the time to try......

Yes, dear, I know. As you may recall, Mudcat is primarily a lyrics site, so I felt compelled to find lyrics. Click here for a collection of MIDI files. This page has one that should work for you.
You planning to do a tango on a pennywhistle? A bodhrán? [grin]

accordion and nylon stringed guitar........lol... or maybe harp (if it wasn't for all the accidentals).................

my guitarist has recently got himself a nylon string and fancies doing a bit of latin music.........

www.musicrobot.com will find lots of MIDIs, but unfortunately when I searched for "Por una cabeza" all the links led to the same piano version which is not only awfully played but also incorrect in many notes. I'll try other sources in Buenos Aires, but probably I'll get the full printed score, then I'll try to scan it and email it to you if this will help.

I suggest to find a CD by Gardel and listen to the original rythm and style. If you don't find one, please tell me and I will send one by mail.
