Hi, Alison - the same page has a simple MIDI arrangement of "La Cumparsita."

yeah... I know... I'm just living in hope that someone else has done a REALLY simple one and has it languishing in their computer somewhere... if not I'll get round to it in the next few days...

I actually have some sheet music for La Cumparsita, which I got from a Latin-American songbook at the Portland, OR public library. A bunch of fake books have it also. If you like, I will try to send it to you [if I can find my sheet music stash], but it really is pretty easy to find if you have access to a medium-sized city library.

"La Cumparsita," BTW, means "the masked one," I think.

This time musicrobot brought the MidiTeca site which has a very good version for piano, violin and bandoneon:

www.geocities.com/Baja/3061/tango.html

Note that there are many versions of tangos in the net. One group is the Euro-American style (which in my humble opinion is a grotesque military march for dancers to walk rigidly across the room with a rose in their teeth) and the other is a sensual, seducing dance of turns and cadences which is the original tango from Argentina and Uruguay. I am in favor of the original, as in everything :))

Un abrazo - Andrés
