could somebody who knows the part of the lyric below tell me the original artist,song and lyric... the rhythm of this song sounds like the song-"I'll be waiting for you"

A little more info might help. What style is the song -- pop, rock, folk? When and where did you hear it? Was the singer male/female/group? We have some pretty amazing musical memories and wide-ranging tastes among us, so any additional info might trigger something.

Sounds scarily like Johnny Logan's winning entry for Ireland in the Eurovision song contest some years ago (probably about 1986/7).
