Terry Talbot teamed up w/ Barry Maguire for several years. They recorded several albums including a live album on which they included pretty funny testimonials.
I believe Terry lives in the Fresno, Ca. area. He is listed as an instructer on a local music store website.

If you are "Calypso" afficianodos you will recall that there was a team called the Talbot Bros. dating back to the '50s. They were from Bermuda and I had the pleasure of seeing them in about 1960.

Sadly their lead singer passed on at an early age and years later(the '70s) when once again I visited Bermuda the sad fact was that they---and all the other local great talent-- was relegated to cocktail lounges and opening acts for commercial troupes passing through---the night I saw them a fairly awful Irish "comic?" and dance troupe were the featured act. But--my wife joined in for the opening act for the late brother on a song she loved from years back---Jane Jane Jane. They asked if anyone knew it and would fill in the brother's part.

The really sad part is that the tourists were happier with acts thata made them feel they were home-(comment on the bus to the airport---great stuff, just like NY). So what happened to travel and expanding your horizons?

The Talbot Bros were great---as were the steel drum bands, Lord Invader, The Mighty Sparrow, and all the rest.

As for Terry, I don't have a clue. But John Talbot is still playing and performing Christain rock.

In the current "do you pick a style" thread, Jim Krause mentioned the band Mason Proffitt, which was fronted by two brothers, John and Terry Talbot, and put out a handful of great country-rock albums in the early 70s. The two brothers then recorded "The Talbot Brothers" (Warner Bros, 1974), a beautiful album of folk/country/rock music (some of it spiritually tinged) featuring Sneaky Pete Kleinow and David Lindley.

Does anyone know what these two have been up to since then? And while we're on the subject of hippies playing country music, whatever happened to the Ozark Mountain Daredevils?

Cheers,
Michael
