To celebrate the Queens Golden Jubilee Carrbrook Village, Stalybridge, Greater Manchester is holding a traditional village fete complete with the Mossley Morris Men and a specially constructed childrens rush cart. Full details of the event can be found at http://carrbrookvillage.users.btopenworld.com

Are you staging an event with a folk theme?

In Huntly, aberdeenshire, Scotland we are having jubilee celebrations. The Square is being closed and we are hoping to have live music for about 12 hours. there are a few folk bands playin, im playing with the likes of a local fiddle group called the strathspey fiddlers and the school ceilidh band is also playing. it should be a good day, just hope the weather stays nice!

In Harlow we should be having it both ways - Jubilee Celebrations and Not-the-Jubilee Celebrations. I'm all for that - two for the price of one.

I was wondering if anyone is planning any events that combine the two. The trouble is, so many people seem to come over all pompous about it. Both sorts - Tweedledum and Tweedledee.
