My sister is interested in finding out more about a Steve Tilson song she briefly heard on the car radio - something about Viking invaders maybe????
Sorry I /she can't be more helpful, but does it ring a bell with anyone???
Thanks, R-J

Don't know about Viking invaders but there is one about Cretan partisans fighting against Venetian occupiers. It's called 'The Dewy Ones' and it's fantastic.

I heard Waz do it a couple of times and Maartin Alcock's bazouki/guitar sounds brilliant.

I've got the words if you think this is the one, and a recording if you want to hear it.

Cheers

I've got a photo of Steve, bare-chested, young and tanned, circa 1980. Send £5, ladies, and it's yours...

Pete

PS. B*st*rd still owes me about 20 ciggies...! PPS. And he's doing my club next week when I'm away on hols. Sh*t, happens every year about this time. PPPS. Never mind, I'll get to see Maggie at Cambridge...much better IMHO!

The song you are looking for is 'The Night Owl Homeward Turns' With Vocals & Flute by Maggie Boyle and Steve playing the 'Arpeggione' (His bowed Guitar). From 'Of Moor & Mesa' (Thats the one with 'Slip Jigs & Reels' on it).
Cheers
Les
