I remember the song from the fist half of the 1970s. Its title is "Ring" or "Rings", but I don't remember who recorded it. I recall fragments of three verses:

Ring, ring, telephone ring....

Ring, ring, doorbell ring, ....got James Taylor on the Stereo...

Ring, ring, golden ring, around the sun, around your pretty finger....hand in hand we'll stand upon the sand with the preacher man, we'll let the wedding bells ring.
