Hi, Harry - we title test/trial threads "HTML Practice." The clones and I go to these threads every once in a while and clean out practice messages. We ask for a commonality in thread titles, so we know where to go for housecleaning. This thread has been retitled, and is open for practice. Have fun, folkies.
Thanks.

If you're posting links at Mudcat, the quotation marks are optional. I prefer not to use them, because they complicate the task of making links. Simple is better, I think. Fewer misteaks.

I find it's best to open a new browser window [CTRL-N] and navigate your way to the site you want to link to. Highlight and copy [CTRL-C] the URL (address) of the site, and then go back to your Mudcat message and paste [CTRL-V] the URL into your link. Be sure to include the http:// in that URL. The quotation marks are standard procedure, but most links work just fine without quotation marks.

Villan, my understanding is that Mudcat doesn't accept attached files; virii etc are problematic. Which means you wouldn't be able to upload the file itself. You could probably get text in such a file to copy&paste into a text file and transfer the resulting contents into a Mudcat thread. Piccies, however, would be regarded as separate files and so not get a guernsey.

Hope this helps.

Cheers, Rowan

Hi, Villan -
Send it to me and I'll see what I can do to change it to acceptable form.
