Subject: lyrics? From: Date: 23 Apr 98 - 01:31 PM I don't know who the male singer was that recorded this song. I don't even know the title, but the last time I heard it, it was sung on "northern exposure". Chorus went as follows: "take me in o tender woman, take me in for heavens sake; take me in on tender woman", sighed the snake. She clutched him to her bosom you're so beautiful she cried; 'if I hadn't taken you in by now you might have died'. "O shut up, silly woman", said that reptile with a grin; "You knew darn well I was a snake when you took me in". Subject: RE: lyrics? From: maureen Date: 23 Apr 98 - 02:23 PM I don't have the lyrics, but I remember that song from the sixties. There was a song called The Snake, recorded in 1968 by Al Wilson, which seems likely to be that one. Maybe someone has the lyrics to it. |
