Hi All,

I'm afraid we have had some sad news, Fliss Henderson passed away in The Pilgrim Hospital at 3.00pm Sunday afternoon (Sun 26th).

When we rang a week ago, before we went on holiday, Minn, her Mother said that she was suffering from an infection which was stopping her being moved to Lincoln hospital where she could continue the physiopherapy and which was frustrating her. It seems that the infection continued it's course and although the end was sudden and unexpected her Mother and Brother were there with her.

The hospital will be carrying out a post mortem to define the cause of death so the Family will not get the death certificate until Wednesday but they have provisionally booked the Boston Crematorium for 11.00am on Friday (31st) otherwise the funeral will be on the following Wednesday.

I'm afraid that we do not have anymore details than that but when we hear more we will let you know.

Love and Regards: Tony and Pearl

She'll be sorely missed at Towersey - the year Fliss wasn't there because of illness it seemed as if something was missing.
Rotten news to start the festival season - and the Miner's Lifeguard won't sound the same this year, that's for sure.

I can't but agree with you, when we last saw Fliss, about a month ago she was up and fighting, frightening the hell out of us, determined to demonstrate the steps that she could walk! It doesn't seem right after all that she'd fought through that an infection should get het in the end. By the way Gervaise and Micca I would have informed you personally but you've change your email addresses, can you let me have your new ones?

Tony

Further to the above, we can now confirm that the funeral is to be held at the Boston Crematorium at 11.00am Friday (31st) followed by Drinks and Sandwiches at the Eagle in town (Fliss's local). I'm hoping to make it and if you can I'm sure the Family would make you welcome. I don't have an address for the Crem but Boston isn't such a big place.

The Family have asked that the flowers are from them only (I'm not suprised - you should have seen Fliss's bed space in hopsital) but donations please to the local Air Ambulance (unfortunately, I don't have an address at the moment but I'm thinking of running an an ongoing collection from Chippers through to Towersey so anybody who wants to contribute can do so)

In our world.... A candle has spluttered and has gone out But will not be forgotten there is no doubt Memories of laughter and shared song will remain Love and friendship give us strength to sustain

Love and Regards: Tony and Pearl

Another voice less in the barn at Towersey then. So sad.

Regret I won't be able to make it Friday, I've not had so good a week myself, but sing one for me, and I'll be thinking of her.
