I hope someone remembers this commercial. The background music was just a solo marimba. The ad was on tv a few years ago. I tried searching at amazon.com for marimba music, but it wasn't there. A few other ads have featured similar music, so I don't think it was written for the ads. Does anyone know who wrote/played the music and if there are any recordings? Thanks, Steve.

Hi, Steve - One Mercedes ad had Falling in Love Again, recorded by Marlene Dietrich - and later by Linda Ronstadt.
Am I right?

Perhaps it is from the musical Cabaret Money, Money, Money.

"Money makes the world go around, world go around, world go around."

They again, Deutchland, Deutchland uber alles??

How about a bigger hint?

Sincerely,
Gargoyle

No, this was just instrumental music, no singing. The instrument was a solo marimba. Someone must have heard it besides me.

According to this site (click on "Pre-2002 Archives"), Mercedes used Carl Orff's Musica Poetica (track no. 1), which is a xylophone music (click here for sound clip).
