The song is actually called My Gee Gee From The Fiji Isles OR Oh Gee, Say Gee, You Ought To See My Gee Gee From The Fiji Isles. If you search you'll find about half a dozen recodings referenced (including Woody Herman.

Can't see the lyrics anywhere, but a couple of sites are offline at the moment. I'll check them later

I was married to a gal from Fiji for four years, but her name was Shakuntala, which doesn't fit the metre (nor the rhyme scheme). But I just thought I'd point out that "Figi" is not a common spelling. The standard is "Fiji", and "Feegee" and "Feejee" are both more common than "Figi" (which makes me think of Christmas puddings). And of course in Fijian (Bauan) it's Viti...

I actually got the halcyondaysmusic site in my search, but the page came up as not found (I've just been back to look - the search result page is not found but looking for other halcyondaysmusic pages got it immediately - I should have perservered longer!). I know this is nine years old, but I just want to say THANK YOU ALL for finding this! I have searched for this song's lyrics for over three years, all the while spelling it "Gigi from Fiji", etc. The original song is now on Youtube under "My Gee Gee from Fiji". Never could've found it without this page.

You can hear a 1921 recording of MY GEE GEE FROM THE FIJI ISLE, sung by Emerson Westervelt, at The Internet Archive. His second chorus is different from the first:
