Trouble getting Fielding show on CIUT

I've tried tuning my radio into Rick's show, and I'm only getting dead air.

Is anyone able to listen online. I don't have the required software on my home computer to listen on line.

Yes it has, Spaw. They just changed addresses. Once Steve accidentally reminded me the show was on, I tuned in and listened for the last 15 minutes.

Well, just after it came back on the radio Heather announced that their transmittor had been down, that the illustrious Richard was not there (I suspect he was perfecting laying about, which I must add he is getting very good at)that the scheduled guest had just left to drive back to Ottawa, and that one of the CD players wasn't playing. I felt terrible for her as she was stuck in the middle of it all. If I could have made it to the studio on time I would have gone down and discussed Rick's Vince Lombardi approach to teaching 5 String Banjo. I wasn't needed, Heather did an admirable job, especially given the circumstances.

I'm afraid the transmitter went down again for the second time in five years. Needless to say, both times were during 'Acoustic Workshop'. I did send our guest (Chris White) home after half an hour, because there was no guarantee he'd be on at all to talk about Canadian Folk Festivals over the summer. When we came back on air I discovered that one of our CD players was down, and the other wasn't tracking right. This normally doesn't phase Rick as he just babbles on while I try to fix things, but it's hard to talk coherently on-air while giving bloody great thumps to balky equipment. He was doing a gig last night, but got home in time to hear the frustration in my voice. Should have played Kristoferson's "Why Me Lord"?

P.S. I've been wearing my duckboots a lot lately, and the garden's coming along nicely. Rick has installed a bird feeder, and is actually taking an interest in the different feathered feeders who drop by every day.

Rick's show is on Monday nights from 7:00-8:00 Eastern standard time. You can access it in the Toronto area at 89.5 FM or on the web at www.ciut.fm

It's usually well worth the listen.
